The album
"The eponymous title song "Sister" is a gospel ballad and dedicated to my sister, whom I am looking for.
She was probably released for forced adoption in the former GDR in 1968." (Quote from Simone K.)
The album reflects the complexity of the musician in German and English (Soul, Jazzpop, Latin).
The artist has created her own covers of her father Henry Kotowski ("The Sputniks"), who died in 2019, such as
"Every day with you" (sung by Manfred Krug in 1970)
or "Smoke on the water".
